"Be A Hero!" is a five-story series loosely based on the childhood of Rev. Dempsey W. Fossit, a well-known pastor and evangelist of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in the early and mid 1900's. As a child and youth, Dempsey desired nothing more than to be a farmer like his father. When he finally yielded to the Lord, he leaned the plow against a fence and went off to Bible school.  These stories illustrate the importance of choosing Godly men and women on which to pattern our lives. A five day theme packet is also included to develop a VBS or a junior church theme. Also available is a theme song sold separately entitled, "Be A Hero!" (Click below). Stories and song were written by Mrs. Ruth (Fossit) Rice.
